Over the course of one weekend my family and I installed both a wall niche in the hall and then feeling really good about ourselves we decided to tackle a shower niche for the main bathroom. It took a little less than 7 hours each broken up over Saturday and Sunday. Trust me, if my family can install one than you should have no problem. Unfortunately, shopping for a wall niche frame is going to be tough. We went to both the local large home repair retailers — Lowes and Home Depot shopping for the wall niche. A wall niche at home depot was nonexistent and the wall niche Lowes was not the one we were looking for. Luckily we found a place online that we could order from. The name of the website was invitinghome.com. They had all kinds of wall niche ideas and different kinds of wall niche frames to choose from. Both the bathroom and hallway niche set us back about $250. Be sure before you purchase to get an idea of the size wall niche you’re going to be making as there are different size frames and knowing what you want will make your shopping experience a whole lot easier. Take your time and look around first…you will be surprised at all the different kinds of online retailers that carry wall niche frames.
